Been here on October 2009. Enterance fee is 7.50 euro per adult person. You have to add another 1 euro if you want to leave your winter jacket with them. This place is big, and only have 1 toilet available - that is outside, paid toilet. But that beside the point. This place offers history of choclates from where the... more

Very good fun for both children and grown-ups - chocolate making machinery in action, as well as chocolate history, geography, advertising, etc... well done! Most signs are in fact translated in English when we were there as far as I can recall.... more

Having visited once before this time returned with family including a 3 yr old. The history is very informative with the displays and all in English as well as German. The 3yr old found all the interactive activities very good they are all marked with a yellow label, older children would understand them more. The aroma of chocolate is lovely... more

We visited this museum to get off the historical/sightseeing tour and do something the kids would enjoy. The museum was very informative and had hands-on activities that all kids love. It also has the production process in place so visitors can watch and learn how chocolate is actually made. The family pass was 21 euros (2 adults and all their... more

We were hoping to get more out of this attraction (not chocolate rivers but more than what we got) It was somewhat interesting, it talks about the history of choloate, the trade, the production and then finally takes you through a Lindt (they own the museum) chocolate making room. It's not as exciting as it sounds. Assembly lines with unhappy... more

Firstly, we found that the museum was a little difficult to find on foot, so either use a map or get a bus, there were a few organised coach tours parked outside too. The outside of the building is modern and the view from the windows of the river was very pretty. The addmission fee was around 5EUR for a... more

Ok, so this place is no cadbury world but if you are in the area it's not to be missed! The smell of chocolate just hits you as you first enter the museum, it's lovely! There are many displays about different aspects of chocolate such as creation and packaging, but the best bit is the tasting! There is a humongous... more

This was one of my must-see destinations. Located right on the bank of the Rhine, I was expecting a half hour hike from the Dom, but it is actually only about a fifteen minute stroll along the bank. Entry is 6.5 euros. I don't speak German and found that, although the "factual" part devoted to the history of chocolate had... more

I was amazed at the depth of the displays on the history of the mayan, aztec and incan civilizations, the colonial history of cocoa, the chocolate wrapper and chocolate boxes display etc. And it was all displayed in English. In addition, they show how to make truffles and wrapped chocolates, and they give you some free chocolate which is always... more
