The title pretty much says it all. If you're in Düsseldorf and the weather is decent enough, a quick trip down to the Rhein is definitely worth it. A really interesting and worthwhile trip can easily be made out of a walk through the Altstadt, going down to the river, and then walking to the Rheinturm. More

Good stretch to walk along - plenty of bars and eating places. They were setting up for the Duessledorf Marathon which added interest. More

This promenade is a nice walk besides the Rhine river. It has some restaurants and some nice architecture. It is a very nice way of spending an afternoon, if the weather is nice. More

Lovely way to see the rhein, walking on the fields and next to the trees. It is very green and calm. Many bars in summer, you can stop and have a cold beer. More

A very pleasant promenade, lined with restaurants cafes and a few shops. It's ample and doesn't feel crowded. Great for strolling or jogging. There are great views of the river, bridges and old buildings. A great way to spend an afternoon. More

The Rhine River flows directly through Dusseldorf and is a major feature to the town, so not surprisingly the Promenade along the River is a huge attraction.
