This is a vast museum, full of colorful interactive exhibits on all kinds of transport: autos, trucks, motorbikes, boats, trains. We went in because of an interest in motorbikes and found ourselves wandering the whole place, fascinated. We had no children along, but there was even a large hildren's activity area, supervised by museum people. All the transport exhibits had... More

We stopped in the Transport Museum mostly because there was a temporary exhibit detailing the bombings of Dresden, London and Coventry during WWII. The exhibit was good, though it was produced in London and did not have extensive information about Dresden. Because we arrived late in the day, we had limited time to see the rest of the museum after... More

In contrast to the many fine art galleries throughout Dresden, this museum deals with the more utilitarian requirements of transportation. The displays will keep you interested, but there is also a section for small... More

Our two families had a terrific time at this museum (both children and adults!). It was not expensive --- well worth the admission. There are static vehicle displays (cars, planes, trains, trams, and more) as well as many interactive displays that are fun to play with. There are also simulators where you can try landing an airplane or piloting a... More
