A charming small city close to Dresden. I recommend to walk up the hill to the Dom. A marvelous view from there on the city with the Elbe river. Definitely a must-see place!

Meissen is often overlooked when folks visiting Dresden but definitely worth a trip. The city is charming (and to me, reminded me of Toledo in Spain) with cobblestone streets that wind up to a hilltop that ends with a huge cathedral.
