The U-995 in Laboe is a must see for both WW2 buffs and others. As the only remaining type VII in the world it’s an excellent opportunity to get a close look at the machine that made up the major part of the Kriegsmarine wolf packs during the Battle of the Atlantic. In Laboe near Kiel is the U-Boot U995, a World War II submarine which is now a museum. You can walk through the ship and see the amazingly tiny space where around 40 to 50 men lived. Not an exhibit for the claustrophobic. The U-Boot is right next to the Laboe Naval Memorial tower and you can buy a "multikarte"... more
