I had always wanted to see this mosque converted to church and its well worth the visit. Try to avoid visiting on a Sunday as it opens at 2 pm then and there are too many tourists there. I have been to this mosque/cathedral twice in 3 years. It costs 8 euros to get in. This is a beautiful mosque which has a catholic church built inside it. While Cordoba itself was not my favorite city, the Mezquita was well worth the stop, just to see the optical effect of the seemingly endless red and white arches (let's not talk about the Christian cathedral they built in the middle of the mosque, a hice building but totally out of place.) more
