I didn't know that I knew Julio Romero de Torres work until I visited this museum! Its not large but if you enjoy art its a good place to spend an hour or so. More

This small museum is in the Plaza del Potro, which also has a plaque in honor of Miguel de Cervantes. Julio Romero de Torres painted beautiful Andalusian women whose eyes captivate the viewer. This museum is free during the week, but still worth the 6 euros if you visit on the weekend. The museum is on the small side, but the rooms and frames are very pretty, and they play classical music, which I think adds to the ambiance. His paintings of Flamenco dancers are very typically Spanish. More
