A right-sized museum and very engaging, even for casual art-lovers. We'd never heard of this artist, but enjoyed his work immensely.

Although small, this museum is well worth the effort to find and pay the 4euro entrance fee. The upper floor contains the real gems including La Chiquita Piconera taking pride of place. Unlike big galleries around the world, one is able to get right up to the pieces to contemplate them without hordes of people jostling for position.

I liked it very much and found it within easy walking distance from Hotel Mezquita.

This small museum is in the Plaza del Potro, which also has a plaque in honor of Miguel de Cervantes. Julio Romero de Torres painted beautiful Andalusian women whose eyes captivate the viewer. Although you can buy a postcard of his most famous paintings, seeing the collection is worth the visit.

Small but a place worth visiting. A real part of Cordoba culture de Torres paintings open you to the whole southern Spain flamenco and religious atmosphere.

This museum is free during the week, but still worth the 6 euros if you visit on the weekend. The museum is on the small side, but the rooms and frames are very pretty, and they play classical music, which I think adds to the ambiance. His paintings of Flamenco dancers are very typically Spanish.

This - previously unknown painter to me - knows something about the beauty of women. Look and see for yourself. I loved his paintings, not to speak about the building the museum is in.

We tried to visit but it was closed for refurbishment. It was a pity that this was so poorly publicized.
