This is the city's most-used beach and you can tell. It's crowded and polluted by run-off from the nearby port. The locals call it a derrogatory name which I won't repeat here.

Playa de La Malagueta is the city beach of Malaga.Its quite crowded in summer and easily reached from the city center even on foot.Most of all I like the wide and long waterfront sidewalk in front of the beach for a long stroll even as far as Pedregalejo.The beach has shower facilities,etc and its a good option when you do...

The Malagueta Beach is a very popular beach with the local residents during summer, when they swim and sun themselves. In other seasons it is a wonderful place to stroll, with many seaside restaurants. The paseo maritimo is paved and one can go for kilometers walking along it. The bay is beautiful.
