The Carmen Thyssen Museum is now having a special exhibition of landscape paintings by famous artists. These paintings are from the personal collection of the Baronesa Thyssen. My favorite painting was by Henri Edmond Cross, titled Beach, Evening Effect. It is a pointillist painting with plenty of color. Renoir's Wheatfield was specially beautiful. Another great painting was Michael Andrews's Daylesford....

We loved this museum. The collection was extensive and housed in such a beautiful building. The audio guides were very informative.There were plenty of seats to relax and enjoy the paintings and the gift shop had many desirable items.

The museum located in the Centro Histrico of Malaga with works by Andalucian artists,it is a treasure not to be missed. Housed in buildings which were restored in a sensitive manner to enhance the exehibition.

I found this rather disappointing the Carmen Thyssen Museum rather disappointing, but then I saw it after visiting the Picasso Museum which is brilliant. The Carmen Thyssen Museum does not have such an interesting collection and I didn't care for the way the paintings were hung. There wasn't the usual harmony one expects from a good museum.
