This is well worth a visit, especially combined with the Gibralfaro for a mere €3.55. More

Good place to get away from the hustle and bustle but watch what time you visit. Best to do it in the cool. There is a steep walk but the views are fantastic. More

I knew nothing about the Alcazaba when I went to Malaga so I was so surprised when I saw it. It really should be more well known! It's like a mini-Alhambra - lots of beautiful Moorish architecture. It's a surprisingly big complex (because it looks quite small on the map!) so it is very pleasant strolling around. We went about... More

Unless you are strictly staying on in Malaga for your trip you should use the time to visit all the other amazing sites within an hour or so of Malaga (Alhambra, Cordoba, Ronda, and Seville). Besides the Cathedral and an awesome show at Kelipé Centro de Arte Flamenco we weren't wowed by Malaga. More

The Alcazaba is, as per an earlier review, not the Alhambra but it has a charm all of it's own. In fact being not the Alhambra is not necessarily a bad thing as it's neither overcrowded nor overpriced. The Alcazaba is simply a beautiful; and relaxing place to visit and I would highly recommend anyone visiting Malaga to allow at... More

I love history and archeology and this was an impressive site. The only thing that spolit my experience, was the Spanish were rather inconsiderate not to provide full international reading translation on their museum boards through out the castle. A basis leaflet did not cover this detail. regardless this castle is not to be missed for its tranquile peacefulness found... More
