While Ferdinand and Isabel are indeed buried here, there are two entrances to this facility. If you go into the one marked Cathedral, the one I thought might lead me to the crypt where they were buried, you will find yourself in a medium-sized Spanish cathedral. Big and monumental cathedral, the visiting is very worthwhile. The white interior is special and impressive. BUT do not buy an Audio guide. It is absolutely redundant and expensive. The audio guide only names the different architects and artists but does not describe or explains anything nor does it provide any background information. More

Walking among the columns of this masterpiece one cannot help but feel dwarfed by history, by sheer elegance of design, by the power to create such an edifice. It amazes me to think human hands shaped and created this cathedral. You must make every effort to visit the Granada Cathedral, it takes you to a new level. More

The Cathedral was initiated by the famous Isabella a few years after she "conquered" the Alhambra. For me it was a really overwhelming sight when I first entered the cathedral. I have seen a few in the last 50 years but the airiness, the light and height of this cathedral were really overwhelming for me. More
