It is said that the remains of the big explorer are found here, under a beautiful statue - but in fact many books says that this is not true. Still, it worth to see one of the largest churches of the world. More

A stunning display of the might and power of the Church developed from the wealth brought to Seville by the discoveries and colonialization of south and central America in the 15th century and the years that followed. More

But much bigger. We took the headphone but the info was a bit boring. Much better to just take it all in. But a wonderful experience and the tomb of the much reburied Christopher Columbus was worth a look. Should not be missed - one of the largest Gothic Cathedrals inthe world - and beautifally kept. This cathedral used to be the most largest but now it's the 3rd. Like Alcazar or other constructions in Andalucia, this cathedral has Islamic influennce as well. Most impressive things are: 1. Giralda tower: when reach the top, you'll see the fine panorama view of the city. The way to go up is slope, so it's not as bad or... More

Plan on being here a while, at least 3 hours, as it is big and there is a lot to see. It has the standard cathedral attributes - altar, many chapels, dome, etc. and some interesting extras – rooms with relics/jewels, a marvelous monument purported to contain the remains of Christopher Columbus, other rooms that are empty that are just... Make sure you walk to the top of the Tower Stairs. Was way worth the physical effort. You had a spectacular view of Seville from all sides. Also had the tomb of Columbus and an amazing pipe organ. I tried to light a candle (put my money int) but it didn't ignite. This museum also had lots of gold chalices... More
