The Cathedral's facade is a magnificent master piece. Inside, the magic continues, from the golden altar to the Giralda's tower. The Cathedral houses the tomb of the most famous explorer, Christopher Columbus (english), Cristobal Colón (spanish), Cristoforo Colombo (italian) and Cristovão Colombo (portuguese). Views of the rest of the cathedral and of the rest of Sevilla from the top are beautiful. Admiring the tower from the ground is lovely enough, but climbing to the top is definitely worth it. more

A climb to the top worth it for the views. The climb to the top is via ramps, not steps. Not too bad a climb. Worth the trip. more

It is the second time that I go to Giralda and I feel always the same when I arrive at the top: hmmm....I love Sevilla! I think that the only way to get there is entering the cathedral (more or less 7€) - yeah, the cathedral is huge and it is beautiful (you can see the tomb of Cristobal Colon)... more

No visit to Seville is worth it unless you ascend the Giralda tower. It will cost you the same admission price (7EUROS, 1.50EUROS for concessions) as it will to get into the Cathedral as the two buildings are basically one and the same, but have a very interesting history behind them which is worth looking into - either get an... more

Begin your ascent by entering the tower near the backwall via the catherdral. I have 2 words for Ladies and Gents alike "Comfortable Shoes". My friend and I did not plan on visiting the cathedral on the day we went so I has heels on. To make a long story short I broke a shoe. The climb is not strenuous... more
