At least to me it was. This basilica is dedicated primarily to the Virgin Mary and her different appearances. There are so many beautiful paintings and statues. It's tiny, but we still spent an hour just sitting and looking up at the frescos on the ceiling and admiring the main altar. You have to see this chapel!! More

We are so glad we took time to visit this church and museum. Highly recommend getting the audio guide to go through the museum. It really puts an emotional touch to what you will see. Well worth the hour or so, and a taxi ride from Santa Cruz to see this place! More
