Fascinating exhibits giving a real sense of the distinctive history and culture of the region. Top floor has a huge and magnificent relief model of the whole area. More

A wonderful little museum that gives you an insight into the Basques' favourite topic: themselves. The Aboriginal people of Europe with a language related to no other on earth and profoundly different cultural traditions to any other region if Iberia, miss this and you won't have experienced Euskadi and it's roots. Somewhat random collections and they don't even let you out into the courtyard to see the boar. Quite difficult to stay interested in a lot of it. More

Even though this museum was presented only in Spanish and Basque languages, it still managed to tell its story well and we spent an hour or two getting around most of the exhibits, emerging better informed about the Basque region, its history and culture.
