This museum is quite large, and provided us with a wonderful review of the history of life - from farming and fishing, through political and linguistic changes - of this beautiful region, told through sculpture, paintings, and objects saved throughout history. The long-term exhibition of once-banned religious art had unusually straightforward and detailed discussions of the religious-political hsitory surrounding each. More

Well thought out and lively. Mainly a history of the Basque people but it moved along nicely, with a good spread of exhibits. More

San Thelmo Museum was a great surprise. The new area of the Museum was masterfully done. The old church integrated well with the new side. The exhibition we saw was "Mil millones de otros". Do not go to the museum without trying the Kafe. A great place to try the Basque fodd. More
