There is a wonderful museum at the top of the Monte that recieves no notice in the tourist information. It really puts the history of the town in perspective including what was happening in europe during our war of 1812. . We had a wonderful picnic on the monte and enjoyes the view of the ocean and city. More

This place overlooks the city and the sea . It can be quite steep but it keeps old cemeteries ( well kept ) from the wars of the early 1800's when Napoleon invaded . Also fortifications . More

Monte Urgull is the hill, which is situated directly opposite from Monte Igueldo. It is the one with the large castle, "Castillo de Santa Cruz de la Mota" and the monument of Christ. It is a bit of a hike to reach the top of the hill, but it is absolutely worth it. It took my girlfriend and I approximately... More

It takes a while to get to the top, but it is definitely worth it. Setting of from the promenade a rather fit person will need about an hour and 15mins walking to get to the top and from there you can view all the beach front and take really grate photos. There are different small places you can actually... More

It was a fun hike up, very relaxing. We went on a foggy gray day but I'd imagine that on a clear day the view of San Sebastian from the top would be amazing! More

You can go walking on the long sea`s quay and go up the mount Urgull. Trip is very interesting. On the side of the road you can see old fortress and different plants. On the top there is big cathedral. the trip takes long times. More

My wife and I climbed to the top of Monte Urgull when we visted San Sebastien in October 2011. We stayed in Pamplona, and took a bus to San Sebastien for 20 euros, round trip. While in "Donostia" (the Basque name of the city), we decided to climb to the museum and statue at the top. Its a beautiful city... More
