Only flaw is that there are tall plants along most of the waterways, so you can hear the birds but can't see them More

My wife and I had planned this trip and only stayed in Majorca for 2 days near to the Park. We stayed at the Alcudia Pins Apartments, approx. one mile from the S'albufera. A goodish walk from our hotel. Very interesting if you are a twitcher. There are several signed walks of varying duration. You need to be prepared for a long walk in the park until you get to interesting sights More

We visited at the end of March. On walking up to the entrance we spotted at least 16 egrets in a tree and thought this looked like a good place. At reception we got our "stamp" and proceded to follow the walk. It was treelined so good as it was hot, then it suddenly opened up into marshland without any... More

When considering the red route round the reserve remember that the 3 things that you'll see most of are: the road in front of you, the reeds that screen the sides of the road, and the sky. More

I loved my trips to this nature reserve. With patience, the birding was really good. If I was to go again, here would be my rules!!! 1. Wear a hat 2. Take plenty of water and some food 3. Take some sun cream, (although it was not needed for the times I visited the reserve, some reviewers have been bothered... More

S'Albufera De Mallorca is billed as the largest and most important wetland in the Balearic Islands. It's huge covering nearly 1700 hectares of land. It's near to Alcudia and has a very small car park just near the entrance. It's free to enter and walk around, but you need to get a visitor pass from the information building before proceeding.... Its especially good in the migratory seasons and its the best Wetlands site on the Isand Bikes are permitted but the best way is to go on foot. Don't expect any refreshments or drinks to be available( there have been machines in the past but dont... More
