This is a truly wild place that, if you have the ability and the equipment, you can take off and explore the solitude. But if you are less mobile there is still provision for you to... More

Visitor centre a must as you need to book if you are driving up to the south side as there is restricted parking. Can book on met but only few places in advance. Once there - spectacular. North side parking no limit you are above clouds with Telescopes and great views - very hairpin bendy road to get there... More

This is a "must do" trip on La Palma. If the weather is good the views can be superb, but if it is cloudy or dusty (sand storms from the Sahara are common) then the views are nice but limited. More

The Caldera offers many attractions - views, the walking effort, unexpected cascada de Colores and seas of clouds. If you plan the canaries - choose la palma and go there - whatever time of the year More

Must see! The most spectacular stop on the coach tour. Stunning views. At just over 7,500ft altitude there are 12 international telescopes (3 British) on this mountain. More

We visited La Palma as it was part of the itinery on the Thomson Destiny Cruiseship we were on. The views are spectacular and as long as you are mobile and don't get puffed out too easily I recommend you get a coach and guided tour you will be amazed! It really is a must and we would recommend it... More

You need to book a parking slot with tourist information but it is worth it. We got there at 8.30 and were the 1st and seemingly only ones at the Caldera. The silence and view of sunrise into the park was fantastic. There is a scary walk towards the campsite, some narrow paths with steep drops... More
