The former home of Cesar Manrique is now preserved as an example of his design and also as an art gallery. I thought the €8 per person entrance was a little bit steep but it turned out to be well worth it. The house is immaculately presented and truly beautiful. This was a fascinating place. The home of artist Cesar Manrique is carved out of volcanic rock. How to describe? Well, it is mostly below ground level with openings in the ceilings where you can see the sky. The wall are curved and white washed and there are allsorts of things like a spa/waterfall that is hard to resist jumping... more
