We are regular ramblers although my wife's knee was playing up. A 5km walk didn't seem much although I should have taken note of the two hour time. Started well from the car park opposite the Panador, near the Hand of God (big rock formation) on an easy path. Beautiful day, nice walk until the halfway point when we started...

The geology here is probably unique - volcanic rocks eroded by the wind and pumice deserts. There are unique specialised plants in this wierd environment. I took loads of photos, the light is very clear and bright. Wear a hat as the sun is very strong here
Whatever you do lock your car - we walked about 30 yds away to take photos at a parking area and somehow thieves were in the hire car and a purse was stolen
High climb through forest to get to park Some great views to Gomera and beyond on way. Scenery is stunning. The landscape is indescribable with weird formations at every turn. We went as part of a day trip which took in Garachico and Masca. Highly recommended.Yoy may need a separate half day visit to ascend Teide itself.

In summer it tends to be cooler than the coast due to altitude and in...

Great rock formations and views. well worth a visit especially on a clear day. Some interesting gifts in the shop
Quite an amazing experience. You get the feel for a lunar landscape. Wish I'd done more research before the visit so that I knew exactly what I was looking at. The lava and mineral deposits were awesome. Driving through the forest was also spectacular. Well worth a visit.
We drove up to the parc from Orotava along a very windy twisty road. It did seem to take a long time. However, the journey was well worth it. The views were, indeed, incredible. The different colours of the landscape were impressive. Mount Teide stands proudly majestic above the landscape. Yes, as others have said, the landscape resembles that of...

We visited Teide national park on the round the island trip with Tenerife Excursions. This also included visits to Valle de la Orotava, Icod de los Vinos (drago tree), lunch at Castillo de San Miguel, Masca and Los Gigantes.
Wonderful scenery especially around Teide which is volcanic rock and very eerie.
The views from Masca and Los Gigantes were superb....
