besides being the place where is filmed the tv show gran hotel, also a very nice palace and area, nice views, a 10 euros visit with a greta friendly guide, ask for a visit at the santander tourism office, located across the santander arco

I went to the Palacio but it was the day after the royal family had made an appearance in Santander so the Palace itself was off limits. We could view it from outside and it was lovely. The grounds though are spectacular, with a playground for kids, walking, hiking, a small zoo, and swimming it was a wonderful experience. The...

La Magdalena - the place to be every Thursday night during the summer. That is, if you are a student at UIMP (study abroad courses). From what I understand, the palace is owned/governed by the Universidad Internacional Menendez Pelayo during the summers. Therefore, a fiesta is thrown every Thursday night for the students.
