Just simply love the woodwork, the gold embellishment, the statues and the immensity of the itnerior. Only problem was the poor lighting which made viewing of the treasures a little difficult.

One of the top five churches I've seen, and I've seen many!
It helped that I was in earshot of a private-guide description of the interior if the church.

Toledo is worth probably 2 days and 2 nights, and is easy to reach by train or bus from Madrid. This monastery, and the Santa Cruz museum, will take up maybe 3 hours total, except for avid art hounds.
