This is a big, modern building in which the history of the human race is recounted. Human evolution is displayed and explained. Some of the displays are superb. You can get a combined ticket that allows you a guided tour of the digs at Altapuerca (there is limited accommodation on the tour bus to get there). More

the museum is new and well organised. It is worth also with children. You can buy a combined ticket for 11 € and visit the excavations some miles away from Burgos, in an old railway trench were the remains of oldest eeuropean pred3ecessors were found The guides are professional researchers and love their job, so their explanations are both reliable... More

Very expensive for what it is. Building impressive, but contents sparse. The Atapuerca exhibits and the review of human evolution are well done (but very wordy), but only fill a small part of the space. Particularly, the top floor has one exhibit, a small bookshop and a café apparently consisting of vending machines. And toilets which (sorry) really stank of... More

The Museum of Human Evolution is a 10 minute walk from Plaza Mayor and the Cathedral, and I'd really recommend it. It's in a very impressive huge glass building, and spread across 3 or 4 floors.
