I was so glad I went inside this church. It is quite beautiful. There is so much to see apart from the lovely cloisters. Just as you think you have seen it all you follow on and discover another beautiful part of the building - A must to see More

The two are side by side. Admission fee relates to the convent only. Stand and stare at the superb decorative work around the main entrance to the church. More

Had it been a little cheaper, I would have liked the Convent more. But it's just a couple of floors. Great history, if you're into that. Nothing spectacular though. More

The Plateresque façade of this monastery is very impressive and looks like a tapestry in stone. There is a very large arch that has three parts. The lowest part shows the main doorway. The second part has a small arch and shows the Martyrdom of San Esteban by Juan Antonio Ceroni, dated 1610. The top section shows the Crucifixion and... More

The facade is impressive enough but inside you will get a flavour of the power of the Dominicans in Spanish and world history. The retablo is breathtaking for its fine uncluttered lines. More

San Esteban is one of those monuments that make you feel overwhelmed whenever you have the chance to admire it once again, no matter how many times you've visited it before. It is a fine example of late gothic architecture with Spanish renaissance ("plateresco, or silversmiths' work) sculpture in the cloister and the façade... The front façade in the convent’s... More
