Very impressive. Take a tour to hear the history. Look for the frog! We found it. We loved Salamanca and all tyhe history.

Beautiful inside and out. The exterior looks different at different times and on different days. The red stone and intricate detail on the exterior really pick up nuances of light.

There isn't a ton to see here -- mostly a bunch of old classrooms. But the architecture is impressive and the library is amazing. However, you cannot actually enter the library. You just can walk into this little glass booth to take a look. Glad I went though.

The most impressive part of the University is the Plateresque façade, which has three sections. The first section has a medallion of the Catholic Kings. The second section shows the coats of arms of the House of Austria. The third section shows the Pope talking to cardinals, with figures of Hercules and Venus one each side. There is a frog...
