We had lunch in Plaza Mayor while spending the afternoon in Segovia. The lunch wasn't very good (& I don't remember the name of the place) but it was nice to just sit & enjoy the plaza.

There aren't a lot of things to see. There are restaurants around but nothing interesting.

A very large plaza for such a small city. There were many good cafes and restaurants in and near the plaza. There is much nice architecture with views of the cathedral overshadowing the other buildings.

Coming from Madrid or Barcelona, the Plaza Mayor de Segovia is not a wow but it is a great place for the kids to run around as you have a coffee! The theater is located in the Plaza Mayor, support your theaters or they will go away!

I did not plan my visit well. I came to Segovia in the afternoon, after spending the morning in Avila. We saw the aqueduct then went straight to the alcazar and then the cathedral. After that, it was siesta time! The Plaza seemed abondoned. All of the restaurants were closed. The area looked very nice, though. So, if you plan...

Best place for lunch is here, great views of the cathedrals, and there is a nice selection of bars and restaurants.
