The place where tourists go because they have been told they ought to visit. Just lots of people wandering around, looking a bit lost buying expensive bottles of water, plants and tourist tat. Nothing special but quite a good buzzy atmosphere. Typical tourist trap... More

Imagine a flood of people, mostly young; music, cafes, tapas restaurants, minimum traffic on both sides, goes directly to the port. Lots of side streets connecting you to plazas, Flamingo shows. Such a colorful street will give you a life time experience that you d probably visit every day of your stay More

Easy to say that this is on most people's lists of things to do and see in Barcelona. It is so ridiculously touristy that you really just have to see it for yourself. The street statue performers are great, the souvenir shops are what you'd expect and the people can be wall to wall. The fun that you may have... More

After visiting the sites of Barcelona we spent a few hours on La Rambla. We are very glad we did. Great Central Market, restaurants, shops, bars and cafe's. More

A fun street to walk around, during the day as well as night. Very crowded place so be careful of your wallet and cell phone. Probably most happening street in Barcelona, full of shops and cafes and an old market called Bouquiera. saw some amazing human statues and some talented painters on the street. happened to see an amazing, acrobatic... You can't help but walk along this street along with tons of other tourists. Most restaurants are geared towards tourists. Beware of scammers and pickpockets, this is their head office! As you walk further north it gets more "normal". For a place to eat or shop, you'd better go to the side streets. More

With it's bussley cosmopolitan feel. La Ramblas is a must visit place and was our base for preparing our days out. La Rambla is similar to pedestrian malls all over. Barcelona lends its own flavor and the Mercat Boqueria is worth a trip on its own. I've never seen such beautiful fruit displays! Save yourself some euros and don't bother eating right on the strip. Venture a couple of blocks off along one of the side streets (don't worry about getting... More

This is a very touristy area, but aside from that, it's a giant promenade, you can find La Boqueria there, which is a lovely market for fruits, tapas chocolates and much more. More
