An exceptional array of choices abounds at this very famous marketplace. There are tapas places, restaurants, meat, seafood, fruit, produce, pastries, candies, and more, to choose from. It's a sensory overload here, uncomfortably crowded (in mid May) and noisy. Imagine the zoo it must be during the Summer months! We were unable to get a seat at a few places,... More

Main things that seemed different were (possibly to do with when we went) many meat vendors were closed, though a number of the seafood vendors were still open (with interesting things to see ... I didn't know people eat barnacles?) Beautiful displays of fruit though no little flat peaches that I... More

What a great place, even if you do not try anything it is just a nice experience everyone visiting Barcelona should enjoy. Food was so fresh and beautifully displayed, fuits, seafood, ham and meats. We tried their "zumos" and they were delicious and if you feel like eating try their Jamon Iberico. More

Great architecture, really colourful and the array of food is amazing and the smells are fantastic. Bought smoked paprika and saffron here at reasonable price. Try the tapas as well. Cod balls on a stick are great and fantastic value. If you are a foodie and love cooking this market is a must see. If travelling in on the metro... More

...And it's obvious the Catalonians keep the best produce for themselves and send the c**p to us, all joking put aside we wandered in here quite literally from La Ramblas. First impressions were good just looking at the vast array of fresh fruit, veg, and seafood etc, on offer. It was a joy to see oranges twice the size as... More

After 5 minutes in this amazing market, we wished for cooking facilities! Next time, we'll rent an apartment so we can cook after a morning of shopping here. Wow! More

This is a wonderful, colorful market! You can see everything from seafood, fruits, meat and candy. It is so big and versatile, I loved it! I especially enjoyed the fish market (they had a huge fish head - I've never seen anything like it!) and the candy stall. I also loved the colorful fruit slushies - you can get two... More
