We only saw it from the outside, because the crowds were large even in May. I've been told crowds are better later in the day just before closing. There were numerous cranes and scaffolding detracting from the brilliance of this church, which seems to be airbrushed out of every picture of the church on most travel pictures and brochures. More

This unfinished church is huge and majestic. We were on a short tour and only saw the outside but we were still quite impressed. Out tour guide said that a visit tot he inside is well worth the effort, time permitting. We took a lot of pictures. The building left a big impression on us. TIP: be very careful here... More
