Although this is very interesting visually it is a construction site. I would recommend to see it from the outside only. The price of admission was not worth it. There was a 1hr wait for the elevator to view the upstairs. Your time and money are better spent at the other Gaudi buildings. more

Although not completed, the inside is still breathtaking and worth the 12 euro entrance fee. If you bypass the first insanely long line to go up, and follow the standard tourist walkway around to the front, to your left once you get outside is an elevator almost no one uses, and when we went there was no line at all!... more

Sagrada Familia is so much more than your average cathedral. The genius of Gaudi continues to this day with the ongoing construction of this magnificent church. Part of your admission goes towards the foundation finishing this church. It cost 11e to enter and 2.50e to ride to the top of the tower. A definite must-do. After riding to the top,... more

From our cruise ship, we were advised to take a cab to the church of La Sagrada Familia first thing in the morning, in order to beat the crowds. This turned out to be good advice. As we left the terminal building, there was a stall with free maps of Barcelona. We took one, and it was really helpful, with... more

This over the top church is dedicated to the Holy Family and in 1882 the foundation stone of the crypt was laid under the direction of the architect Francisco de P. del Villar. He was relieved a year and a half later by Antoni Gaudi who devoted 43 years of his life to this work, the last 12 years almost... more

This last February (2009) I visited Sagrada Familia with my family. I had visited before, in 1996 and in 1998. There has been a lot of progress on the church, as at my first visit there still really wasn't an inside. The church is still a work in progress, and if you don't want to see a construction site, well...... more

I heard this was the number one attraction in Barcelona but with so much else to see I didnt think it was worth it. If you have time, I'd say go and look at it from the outside as it is amazing. But the entrance fee was steep for what you got inside. You cant walk around much inside it,... more

Neither of us are huge Gaudi fans, so we chose not to go inside since it was expensive, the line was at least 45 minutes long, and we had other things to see. However, if you want to go inside, I recommend buying tickets online before you go to avoid the long lines! Even if you have no interest going... more

I read several of the reviews below and thought that one of the previous reviewers was a tad bit harsh, especially in light of all of the other glowing reviews. My wife and I paid for the entrance fee and severely regretted it and felt totally fleeced. When approaching this building, one immediately thinks it's being restored and is being... more

Sagrada Familia is well worth a wander around the exterior but DO NOT bother going inside..it is literally a building site for E10 and you cannot see any of the original building apart from a stained glass window - thus throngs of people taking pics of this. The queue for the elevator was really long and i must admit we... more
