The park is beautiful, and very well maintained; it's very clean considering the amount of people who visit. The Gaudi sculptures and buildings are truly amazing. The park is quite large, but so well planned that you don't realize the size until you stand at the high points and can see how far it reaches. The views over the city... more

One of my very favorite places to visit in Barcelona....and it's free. Gaudi's 30 acre hilltop park and planned residence for 60 homes around turn of the century Barcelona, Parc Guell. A sort of upper middle class "gated community" for the time, flopped as a business endeavour, but as a park almost a century later, it's phenomenal. Gaudi's eccentric "mad... more

I would take no less than a half day to visit this wonderful park. There can be some climbing involved but the views are spectacular. Gaudi's works are everywhere throughout the park and are worth the walk to seek out. A "must see" in Barcelona. more

Everything Gaudi is worth a visit. This is even nicer than the photos as it is in the park. more

Get off the bus, walk up the hill. Try to see the dragon amidst the boisterous crowds and probably miss it! Walk up the steps to the 'lovers' bench'......Admire the architecture on the way and note that no two pillars are the same! But to really enjoy the park walk around.....and up!!! I don't have a map of the park,... more

it is a one KM walk from the metro, with the last 500 meters uphill take a cab or bus to avoid the hike. Also, it gets intensely crowded after 11am, if you want nice pictures, go early! Bring some water, you get dehydrated by the time you walked uphill to the entrance. Amazingly, it's free. A must see. more

Beautiful architecture...the essence of Barcelona! Gorgeous park and views. I have been four times and I'm sure I will return on every visit to Barcelona. I love the atmosphere and the music. You could easilty spend all day here especially if the weather is good! more

I enjoyed strolling around this park which is beautiful. However, I should have gone early in the morning. This park looks exquisite in photos, but when I was there all I could see were other people... I mean crowds and crowds of people. I was there in August 2008 around 1 pm and it was unbelievably hot. The hundreds of... more

It may be hot, but it is worth the walk. Just bring plenty of water. The parc is absolutely gorgeous. The artwork of Gaudi is just amazing. It is such an iconic spot that you'll kick yourself if you don't go. more
