Its quite a steep walk up to Parc Guell, but it is definitely worth it! It is such a unique park like no other! Once you get past the circus of the mosaic entry, this sweet, surreal park offers some healthy walking trails, visual treats and unique perspectives on the Barcelona skyline. We took the metro to Lesseps stop. From the metro, it was a walk of a bit less than a mile (some of it steeply uphill) to Gaudì’s Parc Güell. Parc Guell was everything we had hoped for. We visited on a Sunday mid-afternoon. It's a lot of fun to see the benches, gate houses, fountains, hall of columns, and other playful pathways. Fantastic despite the crowds. Gaudi's buildings, spaces and structures are fascinating. The terrace overlooking the City, the hall of columns, the lizard fountains. Very nice thing to do to get away from the inner city, but still there is crowded with tourists. You can easily kill a couple of hours there. You can get to Parc Güell ex with bus 24 from Placa Catanuyna. The bus trip is also a nice way to see the city. NB if you take this bus you... more
