Bought the audioguide, totally worth it. The Museum is great! you can see most of Mirós' important work and learn tons about him. If you like books, buy them in the book shop in the museum, it's really cheap!!! More

Miro is a bit like Gaudi: the spirit of Catalunya. It is not about understanding his art (like Rembrandt, Rubens, ea) but to understand the emotions. More

First get to the Funicular MontJust at the Paral-lel station on the Green Line - Line 3. Take it to the top and then take a short walk to the Miro. It is a wonderfulcollection arranged in the varios periods of his artistic development. If you are lucky there will also be groups of angelic school children learning about the... More

Not only is this museum in a gorgeous area, surrounded by absolute beauty, but it's just FANTASTIC. This one of my first stops in Barcelona. The roof deck is a must, it's so nice to see his works on display and you can actually get close to them. And, amazingly enough, I found the gift shop to have affordable items.... More

Joan Miro's life work is beautifully displayed in this airy white architectural masterpiece. My favorite of many amazing works by the master is the fountain filled with...mercury.There's wit and wild invention to see in the work of Miro. And, what do you think? Are those little stars really stars? Or maybe they represent something much more, uh, intimate? After enjoying... More

The Joan Miro Foundation is located in MontJuic, so to get there you have to go to Parallel (L2) and then take, with the same ticket, the funicular to Montjuic ( every 15-20 ' more or less). The Foundation is a few meters far from the station. With Articket ( 30 euros for Picasso, Pedrera, Joan Miro, MACBA, MNAC, CCCB,... More

This gallery was built by the Miro Foundation to expose his works and the architecture is great. The mixture of Miro's drawings, paintings, mixed media works and sculptures is well worth a visit. The audio guide was worthwhile, though signage was also good More

It's fantastic to see Miros works in real life. Some are so extraordinary that you don't understand it until you see them in actual size. Don't miss the really good film about Miros life and art. More
