Bought the audioguide, totally worth it. The Museum is great! you can see most of Mirós' important work and learn tons about him. If you like books, buy them in the book shop in the museum, it's really cheap!!!

Not only is this museum in a gorgeous area, surrounded by absolute beauty, but it's just FANTASTIC. This one of my first stops in Barcelona. The roof deck is a must, it's so nice to see his works on display and you can actually get close to them.
And, amazingly enough, I found the gift shop to have affordable items....

Joan Miro's life work is beautifully displayed in this airy white architectural masterpiece. My favorite of many amazing works by the master is the fountain filled with...mercury.There's wit and wild invention to see in the work of Miro. And, what do you think? Are those little stars really stars? Or maybe they represent something much more, uh, intimate?

The Joan Miro Foundation is located in MontJuic, so to get there you have to go to Parallel (L2) and then take, with the same ticket, the funicular to Montjuic ( every 15-20 ' more or less). This gallery was built by the Miro Foundation to expose his works and the architecture is great. The mixture of Miro's drawings, paintings, mixed media works and sculptures is well worth a visit. The audio guide was worthwhile, though signage was also good
