Certainly La Sagrada Familia is the most remarkable church in Barcelona, but the gothic cathedral and the surrounding area are also very beautiful. We visited on a sunny day which showed off the stained glass to great effect. Despite the throngs of tourists passing through the place it curiously still seemed to retain an air of calm. More

visited this cathedral & stumbled across a real gem.lovely & peaceful & in my opinion much nicer to visit than la familia sagrada. No crowds!! More

Very nice architecture, very good preserved interior. It was the only church were I saw electric candles that were turning off by inserting coins (the number of candles that were turning on were depending on the money inserted- more money= more candles). We only got to see the interior of the church. More
