Tibidabo gives you the best views of Barcelona plus a theme park packed with classic rides from the 20s including the iconic red plane. Strongly recommended. Take your kids back in time to when fun was slower. And creakier. Read more at http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=2673332133567718034#editor/target=post;postID=7762641086583855040 More

An excellent somewhat rainy sunday we took the metro line 7 from the corner of Catalunya Square - entrance to Ramblas - till AV. TIBIDABO where the ('RIP -OFF")BLUE TRAM waits for customers to connect to the funicular till the church at the top of the mountain. SO - SAVE MONEY and use your T-10 ticket to reach the funicular... The view is fantastic. The feria, amusement parc, or whatever you'd like to call it, is a nice extra. But if that's what you go for, you'll be disappointed. If you like hiking, you can even combine Tibidabo, starting somewhere in the Collserola. More

We had just gone to Park Guell, where the views were really great and I began to wonder did we truly need to make the extra effort to go to Tibidabo, particularly as it was getting late in the day. Boy, was I glad I did. The views from up there are amazing, especially if you take the elevator in... More

Its an interesting journey taking the Metro to Av. Tibidabo, then Tramvia Blau (the 'Blue Tram') that connects with Tibidabo Funicular Railway to the top of the mountain. The park comes accessorised with a Gothic-rocketship chapel, the Sagrat Cor. The view of Barcelona is beautiful, but can be seen from other locations. More

Spectacular view of Barcelona. Wow is all you will be able to say. The amusement park was closed when we were there in April but it would of been neat to try a ride that high up. The Funicular that you ride up the mountain costs about $7/person and is also a neat experience even though a little scary when... More

If you have a spare afternoon on a fine day in Barcelona, a trip to the the Tibidabo mountain is a good (but somewhat overpriced) bet. The old Tramvia Blau is a quaint way to get to the funicular train that can take you up the mountain. The tram doesn't run every day so check times etc. The funicular is... More

It was well worth the trip up. We went at a good time of year. There were not a lot of people and the amusements were closed. The cathedral is fabulous and the view is wonderful. More

We chose to visit Tibidabo Mountain mainly for our 7 yrs daughter. It is an amusement park, one of the oldest in Europe I've learned, located on a hill in the north of Barcelona. The trip up there is an attraction itself as you can choose to travel to the top with an ancient tram called Tramvia Blau (leaving from... More

Even though we had been to Montjuic, Parc Güell and up in a lot of high buildings, we got the most breath-taking view over Barcelona up on the Tibidabo mountain. Barcelona is really really big! More
