Interesting for kids, but too expensive. The forest-like entrance and the big tank with the sharks was the best part. more

I remember watching a show on Travel Channel that said this is the largest aquarium in Europe. I sure hope not because it's not that big. None the less, it's fun. Great to bring kids or if you're an aquatic enthusiast. At 17 € per person plus another 3 € for a guide it's steep, but it's worth it if... more

Gone are the days of a few small tanks in dimly lit corridors. This place is bright, spacious and the tanks are enormous. The wrap a round tank with the sharks and rays was wonderful. Stand on the travelator and follow a conga eel or watch the fish being fed by divers in the tank. 2 to 3 hours. Excellent. more

The title for this review is not an exaggeration. The price was steep as many other reviews on this site have stated, but all of them are quite dated at the time of this review's writing (July 17, 2009). Few of them mention the awful condition of the facility. The first smaller tanks have outdated signs since some of the... more

I'm pretty sure small kids will enjoy the Aquarium, but as an adult traveller who has seen other similar places before with fish swimming in the tanks, I was very disappointed. I only went there because it was Monday and a couple of museums I had intended to visit were closed. The entrance fee compared to what was inside was... more

While I was in Barcelona I was looking for something to do to kill a couple of hours, but this aquarium didn't live up to my expectations. Overall, it took about a half hour to go through. There is a cool tank area that you can walk under and through; you get to see the different fish swimming above and... more

Decided to visit the aquarium because we needed a break from sight-seeing in the city. The cost is $17 Euros/person. For that cost, this was a major disappointment. There is visible wear and tear throughout the whole aquarium. The descriptions of the marine life are outdated. The walkways are stained and torn up. The entire walk through the aquarium took... more

Wow...what a fantastic place to visit in Barcelona! I've lived in the city for almost a year and have 'done' most of the main attractions, but the Aquarium was a new one for me today. It was fairly pricey, at 16 euros for adults and 12 for children, but I can honestly say it was worth every last bit! It... more

In the hotel where i stayed in Malgrat there was a brochure which said "If you haven 't been in Aquarium, you haven 't been in Barcelona". I absolutely disagree with that opinion. Barcelona has a lot of more interesting places to visit. It's a lie the claim that this is the bigest aquarium in Europe. London aquarium, which is... more

I have nothing but good thing to say about the Barcelona Aquarium. We went there on Valentine's Day this year. I brought my 2 children along - 6 year old and 2 year old toddler. They loved the aquarium to bits. Although we have been to many aquariums around the world (especially in the US), each one has its own... more
