This is not your average walking tour. Our guide started by explaining about the origins of Barcelona and how that has been incorporated into the character of the city. We end up at the Mercat de Santa Caterina - a masterpiece by Miralles - A fascinating insight to design and architecture of Barcelona More

I did a private Gaudi tour with Miguel. He was a great guide, providing lots of interesting facts about Barcelona's development, as well as specifics about Gaudi. The walk is all outside (no interiors of buildings) and covers about 2km. A unique insight into the city past and present. More

My husband is an architect and I've studied architectural history, so we were thrilled to find a tour given by an architect. We greatly enjoyed hearing the background of the city and its buildings. We were fasinated by the Ildefons Cerda tour when we first arrived in Barcelona. We took the Gaudi tour after being in the city a week.... More

We found about Barcelona Architecture Walks through Trip Advisor and after read good reviews about it, we decided to join the Gaudi walk last March. And we didn't regret it at all. Our guide is Miguel, who is an architect and passionate about Barcelona architecture. Through our walk, Miguel introduced some of hidden courtyards in Barcelona that even locals didn't... More

We took the Gaudi tour and it was fascinating! It is a great and fantastic way to see Barcelona and to hear about Gaudi's work. You could see how passionate Miguel is about his occupation and that he lives and breaths architecture. You get to see little courtyards that you wouldn't have found on your own. More

We enjoyed very much the Miralles tour with Miquel. It's difficult to find people that are passionate about what they do like him. We took the tour with our teenager kids and they also enjoyed it. My son told me very excited: "Miralles is the new Gaudi!". Thanks Miquel for opening our eyes and teach us how to look at... More

We had a wonderful walk with Miguel to see several of the major works by Gaudi in central Barcelona. We had emailed Miguel asking what we should see that wouldn't be on the tour, and he gave us several recommendations that helped put the tour in better perspective. Miguel was articulate, knowledgeable and passionate about both Gaudi and Barcelona. He... More

Barcelona Architecture Walks (BAW) is owned by MIEL architects MIGUEL ANGEL BORRAS and ELODIE GRAMMONT and is inspired by the Sydney Architecture Walks after their visit to Australia and attendance of the SAW. Being architects, they give you a much more detailed and architecturally interesting view of the monuments and the history of Barcelona. I attended the Gaudi walk, which... More

My husband and I, both seniors, did two walks with Miguel -- Miralles and Gaudi -- in October 2011. He was passionate and knowledgeable about Barcelona's history and architecture and gave us a wonderful introduction to this fascinating city. Our walks and his follow-up recommendations took us to neighborhoods we never would have come to explore on our own. A... More
