We took a taxi to see the Pedralbes Monastery. It is a bit out of town but is worth seeing. Pedralbes is an upscale residential area. I enjoyed seeing the cloisters and the museum. I visited this Monastery/Museum in a very hot day but inside the temperature was much more comfortable.
I liked the courtyard and some cool paintings and sculptures.
The Monastery atmosphere is really calm and peaceful, a great place to rest your spirit while still continuing to sightseeing an attraction.

This was on the tour bus route but not many people got off at this stop. They all missed a gem . While it is in the city you would think you were in the country as when you go inside it is so quiet . Really interesting museum .

If you like historical buildings, you will like this monastery and it's museum.
Part of the monastery is still habitated by nuns which of course is not open for visitors.
When we visisted the monastery there was a service going on so we could hear the singing nuns in the hallways of the museum! Awesome!
