The underground Roman city is very interesting. Audio-guide is recommended as it offers interesting information. More

There are various displays on the development of Barcelona into a great city. We enjoyed the special exhibit on the fabric printing industry in Barcelona. The most interesting section was the extensive Roman excavation underneath the building with walkways and interpretive stations built right over the site. Well worth a visit! More

Basically this is almost entirely underground ruins of a section of a Roman city, which is how Barcelona pretty much started. And when I say ruins, I mean ruins, partial walls and foundations of buildings, etc. If you like history, you will be hooked. If not, you are in the wrong place. More

Excellent! Enter the museum to what seems to be a pretty standard museum but then go down a floor and you come to some of the most extensive excavated ruins I've seen. Well worth a visit but try to go when it's free if you're there on a sunday! More

One is transported to a distant age which is now deep in the ground and over which a succession of civilizations have built. The recorded tour explains this well. More

There was intresting to see the roman parts of the city down in the basement. The bad thing was that the english audioguide wasn't so good and all the signs were only in catalan and spanish. More
