The church is an easy walk from the metro station (Jaume I) and is incredibly beautiful. A truly amazing gothic church with loads of character and worth seeing if venturing around this part of Barcelona. This area is commonly known as the Born district and is full of littl boutique shops, the picasso museum is located close by also and is definitely worth the visit. more

The word Cathedral does not mean "big, fancy church." Cathedral denotes the church where a Bishops chair or "cathedra" is located. There is Cathedral in Barcelona, the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia. This was my favorite cathedral of Barcelona. This Gothic cathedral was beautiful without being overly ornate. Making it beautiful was the stained glass which was stunning. The atmosphere of this cathedral actually made it a very good place to pray or meditate. We actually liked it so much that we visited it daily to meditate. more
