This is not the nicest church in Barcelona but considering that it was built and financed by the ''lower class '' in the Middle-Age , it is quite impressive ! Its simplicity gives it a charm not found in bigger and more illustrous cathedrals !

The Cathedral is the centre of the Gothic district, which includes a Roman ruin hidden deep in its midst. We had a local guide, wiithout which I am sure we would never have found the Roman ruin. I tried to go back to the cathedral a couple of times, but kept getting lost in the maze of narrow streets.

I visited the church because I read the book "La Catedral del Mar" based on the construction of this church. The church is beautiful and full of history. Very nice visit!!!
