Offers a day's essential footslog for any lover of architecture in general, & Art Nouveau in particular. Nice safe area to walk in with some of Gaudi's finest works to be found here, and a short walk to La Rambla. Very pretty neighbuorhood area. Not tourist oriented. More

L' Eixample District is one of my favourite parts of Barcelona. It's lovely to wander around the streets, or just sit down in one of the bars, and enjoy the soroundings. I loved all the beautiful buildings, that were so wonderfully coherent. I especially loved the cute balcony fences. Wonderful part of time! More

We were fortunate to stay at a B&B on Avinguda Diagonal in the Eixample district. From Diagonal, we walked southbound on Passeig de Gracia, the most expensive real estate area of Barcelona which is lined with beautiful modernistic buildings including Casa Mila.
