One of Gaudi's lesser known, but I feel underrated masterpieces. Brilliant Morrocan / Islamic style. Unfortunately could not get a glimpse inside, as it is a private residence. The ppl who live here have no idea how lucky they are!

It was built by the famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, his very first important design right after he achieved his degree. It stands like a fortress in an old Gràcia district and it is a must see. The Casa Vicens is an early Gaudi masterwork, inspired by Moorish architecture and fully decorated with tiles. Although the building doesn't have curves, Gaudi masterfully manages to create a playful facade. Can't be visited inside. But well worth a stop on your way to Park Guell. 2 min walk from metro stop Fontana or Lesseps.

We found the house on a narrow street near the Passeig de Gracia and othe Gaudi masterpieces.
It has a Moorish flavor to it.
A must see for those interested in all things Gaudi.
