A really well thought out and interesting experience. It explores how film is actually made, from shadow puppetry to camera obscure - sounds dull but it isn't ! I'm not technical at all but I really enjoyed this! Really worth an hour of your time 5e is actually a bargain and older children would enjoy it too - really very... More

This museum is in the new area of town, so not in as lovely a location, but still worth a visit. The visit starts with a short film (of course) that gives a brief history of motion pictures. From there you go to the third floor and work your way back down through the different exhibits. The museum is very... More

I expected this to be the history of films but is actually a celebration of film making from the first flickering image onwards. Very interactive and great for kids. Multi-language so well worth a visit. More

What a delightful surprise to find ourselves immersed in the history of cinema in the centre of Gerona almost by mistake. We had no intentions to go there; only a whim in passing the building to visit, yet we spent more than 3 hours pouring over the fabulous collection of Tomas Mallol. His fascination with pre-cinema and early cinema is... More

Terrific survey of the start of cinema. Focus is on the developments that led to the creation of film as we know it today. Fascinating history and Scorcese's film Hugo nicely supplements the tour. More

I have been to this museum many times with visitors to the city. It is great for old or young (lots of hands on) and has explanations in English. The introductory film you watch before going into the museum proper can be played in a variety of languages - just ask when you buy your ticket. There are a few... More

I've been to cinema museums in Berlin and Turin. This appealed to me even more than the others. Marvellous presentation starting from the earliest beginnings to the present day. Not to be missed for anyone with even a passing interest in the cinema. More

Great little museum- was very quiet when we were there but it gave us more time to play with the hands-on exhibits!!! Well organised and very enjoyable. Would recommend it to old and young alike. More

The film museum in Girona is on the other side of the river from most of the other tourist attractions in Girona, but is within easy walking distance of them (10-15 minutes). The start of the museum is a good short film, the friendly man at reception can play it in your language. The main element of the museum focuses... More

If you happen to be in Girona I would definitely recommend a visit to this museum. Very informative and entertaining with plenty of optical illusions to keep you entertained. More
