We landed at the monastery as weather conditions were not good enough for a hike... such a wonderful surprise! This place is like out of time and so well refurbished you can almost time-travel! The monastery offers superb views of the area around. Just for that alone you should visit it. Surprisingly, our entrance was for free. We weren't going to complain of course. You get a sheet with some explanation about the history of the monastery, and there is a numbered tour you can follow. Everything had been restored and taken care of... More

Don't miss having lunch (they have a midday menu) at the restaurant located inside the Monastery. There are a few tables outside on the balcony, with spectacular views! More

It's a treck to reach the monastery, nearly at the top of Cap de Creus, where the Pyrenees drop into the sea, but it is well worth the journey.
