We weren't expecting much in this underpubliced museum. We were even going to give it a miss. But it is worth a visit and unfortunately due to lack of time, we had to rush through it. But do set aside a while particularly if you enjoy art, as this is a surprising collection. More

Unfortunately some of the museum was closed but it was worth a visit as part of our ady here. More

We found this little museum a particular bright spot in our visit to Montserrat. It has a few real treasures inside and is small and easily manageable. Definitely worth a visit! It includes some Impressionist art (Monet, Degas), as well as works by El Greco, Picasso, Dali, Miro, Chagall. More

The Montserrat Museum is in a building across from the basilica and it is built underground, comprising of two stories. Josep Puig I Cadafalch built it in 1929. There are many works of art by famous artists in this museum. Among the masters are El Greco, Caravaggio, Daki, Sisley, and many Catalan artists from the early 20th century. There are... More
