We had no idea when we booked to stay in Caceres what a gem we were going to find. Quite the most attractive and accessible 'old town' we've ever seen. If you are going to Caceres it can easily be done in a day. And, then you will want to go to Merida. I was in Caceres in September and it was well worth the trip. Easiest way to get there is by bus. If you would like to see my fotos let me know. I plan to go back.
