My wife and I visited Gibraltar on a Cruise. We decided to explore the peninsula on our own, and went to the cable car. The line was wrapped into the street. What an experience! You need courage to go up, it does swing a little, but well worth it. Get a return even if you decide to walk down (1.5hrs) as its cheaper. The half way stage is not used in summer. More

Interesting ride ( 6 minutes) and view. Expensive , £9.75 basic . Notices at box office did not make it immediately that you would need your passport as ID before you could take the multi media tour. ( included in price) Most people staying on the Rock, would not usually have their passports with them. More

A smooth ride with great views as you climb up the side of the 'Rock'. It certainly beats trying to walk up unless you are really keen. There was a shop at the top but we didn't see much to encourage visiting it, so went out into the nature reserve. More
