This place is really the center of Madrid and is always full of people. Many good shops and cafes in this area. More

I was really looking forward to going to the Puerta del Sol but when we got there it was full of protesters camping out and the lesf all their trash and clothes laying around. I do get the protesting but it kind of totally spoils the attraction. I hope it's better now in 2012. More

Amazing place, lots of buildings and a road leading to Gran Via (major shopping centre). Metro station lies in the middle of the square. More
