It is a small museum which is what I prefer. The larger museums sometimes overwhelm me so I really enjoyed this museum. The gardens are beautiful and the paintings are impressive. I would highly recommend this museum! More

When you get tired of vying for position at the "major" museums, take a deep breath and step into this one. From the garden entrance with colorful tiles to the charming home with original furniture and brilliant works of art this museum welcomes you in a way the big boys can't. We tried this one because of Tripadvisor. We are... More

This museum is a treat: a full personal life and in immension artisticadi Sorola. It's a real intimate and moving portrait of the family life and the artistic evolution of Sorolla. The house is wonderful as well as the garden. The indications for tourists are very clear, but for the most interested, there are tourist guides very well informed. I... More

Sarolla is one of Spain's most beloved artists with paintings in museums all over the country. There is a good selection of this very successful painter and a chance to view a beautifully designed studio in his custom designed home and gardens. Visiting is a wonderful way to spend an hour. More

This is easily my favorite! Prado comes close, but this tiny museum is so manageable for a single visit and I just love the vibes in this place. Joaquin Sorolla must have loved his wife and children so much that the good vibes permeates the entire villa! http://marilil.wordpress.com/2012/05/07/40-madrid-blog-series-museo-sorolla/ More

Sorolla museum is one of the most interesting small museums in Madrid. Its located around 20 minutes walk north from the center of Madrid. This place is a little gem a bit forgotten among museums like Prado and Reina Sofia. The actual museum is in the house of the painter; a very beautiful house with an amazing garden. The Sorolla's... This museum is a little gem, nice and quiet, and it has so much to offer, it was the home and studio of the Spanish artist Sorolla. There is a wonderful collection of his impressionist paintings, many of his family which gives you an insight into the artist. The descriptions of the exhibits are in Spanish but there are large...
