Extremely pleasant park to walk around. It was full of people walking and roller blading but didn't feel crowded. Bit of an odd 'crystal palace' thing - not sure what the point is - but there was a great monument near the lake and it was a nice way to have a relaxing stroll More

This is a well-loved, pedestrian-only park with miles of walking paths. There is a rose garden on the south side and a few fountains, but very little sunny lawn. Huge park with something for everyone and plenty of spots to sit down and have a picnic. Shady areas to escape the sun and restaurants and lakes everywhere. One of my favourite parks anywhere. More

The Retiro is a great place to spend an afternoon. Lovely scenery, happy people and a relaxing atmosphere. Be sure to take a boat out on the mini-lake. For less than €5 its a must for any visit to Madrid More

This park is huge! It was only a ten minute walk away from our hotel. It has a boating lake, a crystal palace, a museum, gardens and lots of places to eat and drink and plenty of space to stretch out in the sun More

The Retiro Park in Madrid is one of the places you have to go if you visit the city. However it is poorly signaled and it is easy to get lost, so make sure you have a map before walking in the park. More

Great refuge in the center of the city. Don't miss the beautiful statues lining a walking path. Keep walking until you find the huge boat pond with a majestic fountain. There are two palaces very close to one another with an art exhibit currently. One palace is glass with a beautiful pond and waterfall. Really a special place to visit... More
